What are the rental rates?

Turtle Mountain does not charge a rental fee to use our banquet space. However, we do ask for a minimum purchase amount for us to open the facility for you. We base our minimums on either an opportunity-loss, or actual cost to bring in the extra staff to facilitate and serve your group. Simply stated, it costs us money to properly staff and serve your group, and we need a guarantee that we can recover these costs!

Typically on weekends we use the facility as overflow seating. When we close the room to the public, we ask a higher minimum purchase amount to guarantee that the revenue generated from your party equals the revenue generated by seating the room to the general public. These costs vary by time and by day, so the break-down below outlines the different minimums to expect for your party. Tax and 18% gratuity are not included in these figures:

Lunch = 11am - 4pm
Monday - Saturday Lunch ~ $250.00
Sunday Lunch during Football Season ~ $500.00
Sunday Lunch for the remainder of the year ~ $250.00

Dinner = 4pm - 10pm
Sunday - Thursday Dinner ~ $500.00
Friday - Saturday Dinner ~ $1500.00

For example :

  1. A party booked on Thursday night purchased $280 in food and beverage. A site fee of $220 would be added to make up the minimum required, and then NMGRT and Gratuity would actually make the check total $630.56.

    Food and Beverage$280.00
    Site Fee$220.00
    NM Tax$34.38
    18% Gratuity$96.18
    Check Total$630.56

  2. A party booked on Monday Lunch purchased $280 in food and beverage. Since this is above the $250 minimum there is no site fee. With NMGRT and Gratuity, the check total would be $349.13

    Food and beverage$280.00
    NM Tax$18.73
    18% Gratuity$50.40
    Check Total$349.13

  3. A party booked for Saturday Dinner purchased $670 in food and beverage. A site fee of $830 would be added to make up the minimum required, and then NMGRT and Gratuity would make the check total $1870.31.

    Food and beverage$670.00
    Site Fee$830.00
    NM Tax$100.31
    18% Gratuity$270.00
    Check Total$1870.31

We also occasionally book breakfast or after-hours parties. Fees/Minimums for parties not within our regular business hours may include the cost of kitchen, bar, server and bussing staff, so pricing will be figured on a case-by-case basis and can only be booked through the Special Events Manager.

What are the dining options that Turtle Mountain offers?

Please look at the food service options below to see what may best suit your group.

  1. Preset basic mini-menu - Sponsor pre-selects 2-3 items off the menu, any items on the menu are available, and the members of the sponsor"s party can choose from this list at the time of the event. The items for the menu must be pre-set at least 3 days before the event, and can include appetizers, salads, entrees as well as desserts. Turtle Mountain will print the pre-set menu for the event, so there is no confusion for the sponsor"s guests. The price per head will also be pre-determined between Turtle Mountain and the Sponsor, depending upon which items have been chosen for the menu.

  2. Pizza/Calzone buffet - Sponsor can choose between 2 different sizes of buffet, with or without salad.
    • Little Turtle - $12 per person includes 4 slices of pizza (or equivalent) and a non alcoholic beverage.

    • Big Turtle - $15 per person includes 6 slices of pizza (or equivalent) and a non alcoholic beverage.

    • Add a salad - For the pizza buffet, you can add salad with all the fixings for $2 per person.

  3. Order directly off the full menu. This option is not available between the hours of 11:30am - 1:30pm, 5:30pm - 8:00pm due to the impact on our kitchen during peak hours. This option is also not available for parties larger than 20 people.

  4. Special menu - Sponsor, Special Events Manager and Chef meet several times in preparation to the event. We have the ability to serve just about anything with a full kitchen, from Lobster to Taco bar. Please allow at least 3 weeks when planning an event of this nature due to menu preparation and ordering times with our distributors.

  5. Outside Catering - Turtle Mountain will also bring in food from other vendors at the sponsors request. This could be donuts and bagels, specialty desserts, etc. The sponsor must sign a liability waiver for this option. Turtle Mountain will not accept any risks of illness, or quality of food chosen for this event. Price is based on cost plus 30%.
