Once again Turtle Mountain Brewing Company has won the IPA Challenge. We would like to thank all the aficionados and hop lovers who voted for us and especially would like to thank all the fine competitors from around the state.

It was a very popular event at the Turtle Mountain Tap Room on Thursday the 19th with an overflow crowd taking part in the tasting. There were a couple of hundred people who showed up to taste all the great bear and mingle with other beer lovers from all over the region.

Turtle Mountain brought out our signature TMBC IPA for the event. This beer has been one of the favorites of the Turtle Mountain patrons for years and this year showed once again that it is an all around favorite of IPA lovers as well.

This is Turtle Mountain Brewing Company's second time to win the IPA Challenge. The first was in 2003. Turtle Mountain is now is a three way tie for the most wins with Chama River and Il Vicino both having two previous wins as well. This year the three previous winners were one, two, three with Chama River and their Dangerous Intentions coming in second and Il Vicino with their Wet Mountain IPA in third. With a three way tie for the most wins, the 2008 IPA Challenge is shaping up to be a great contest. See you there!

Turtle Mountain was a host to The Lord Stanley Cup, the most famous trophy in professional sports, at the end of December 2006. Our friends over at The New Mexico Scorpions hockey team arranged for the cup to visit Turtle Mountain on it's way through town. As you can see from the photo, everyone had a great time admiring the trophy.

Turtle Mountain is pleased to host The New Mexico Scorpions at several after game parties at the pub.
